A running blogger: another half marathon this year

I’ve set my goal to run at least one half marathon per year. No, I have not run a full marathon or a triathlon or an ultra marathon yet, but this will be done in order. Correct, a full marathon (42km first), then, a triathlon and then an ultra marathon!
A friend gifted me a book called “What I talk about when I talk about running” by Haruki murakami, one of my favourite authors. How come I had not heard of this book about running before? I picked up running a few years ago when I lived in Singapore. It can be a strenuous but meditative process about running, especially when you do a long distance. A friend from Bangladesh coached me how to do a dynamic warm-up, do a proper long-distance run, and made me run a 10k race for the very first time in my life. I felt that I discovered running quite late, but hey, I do not like to lament on any missed opportunity. I’d prefer to do it now, so I signed up for the first half marathon in 2016, and another one in 2017. And, just a week ago, I ran another one with a better personal record. Could never be more proud of my running self. =)
All right, I do not wish to turn this blog into a runner’s blog, but I just want to share bit by bit, especially what keeps me inspired every day.

And, I also started doing boxing as well as playing soccer in my free time! I think we all should continue pursuing our own interest in sports no matter how old we become. Perhaps, turning 30 year propels me to do this even more. 🙂
